**Group Logistics Manager**

We are looking for an energetic, dynamic and hard-working Group Logistics Manager who will be responsible and accountable for supply, maintenance and distribution of goods to ensure optimum functioning of the organisation.

**KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS**
- Manage and maximise the efficiency and performance of logistics operations
- Monthly Stock Take and Reconciliation
- Ensure customer orders are delivered on time to achieve hit rates and monthly sales target
- Planning, coordinating and feedback on loads
- Daily and Month end reports
- Managing and controlling stock levels
- Administration and record keeping
- Housekeeping

**Qualifications and Experience**
- Matric/Grade 12
- Knowledge and experience of the supply chain process in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on optimising the journey of goods and services
- Experience of warehouse operations and optimization
- At least 5-8 years’ experience in a logistics and distribution management/supervisory position
- Knowledge and experience of transportation regulations, inventory management and supply chain principles
- Bachelors in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain or a related field would be advantageous
- Experienced in managing and leading large teams

**Skills and Abilities**
- Strong communicator both verbally and in writing
- The ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration to meet common objectives and solve issues
- Readiness and willingness to modify strategies and procedures to adapt to changing market conditions, regulations or organisational requirements
- Skilled in managing priorities, allocating resources where required and adhering to deadlines in a dynamic work environment
- Proven track record of productivity and cost-saving achievements
- Excellent communication and Interpersonal abilities
- Proven strong leadership and team management skills.
- Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office suite (EXCEL intermediate/advanced level)
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong negotiation skills
- Prepared to work overtime as and when required
- Flexible to travel nationally within South African as required
- Driver's License and own transport is essential
- Customer-focused
- Strong work ethic
