**Position: General Manager**
**Location: CBD, Cape Town**
**Cuisine: Steakhouse with Japanese Influence**
**Experience: GAAP Proficiency Required**

We are thrilled to introduce a unique dining experience to Cape Town's CBD—a steakhouse with a twist, combining the bold flavors of open-fire cooking with a sophisticated Japanese edge. Our restaurant is set to become a destination for discerning diners seeking exceptional cuisine and impeccable service in a stylish setting.

**Role Overview**:
As our General Manager, you will be instrumental in the successful launch and ongoing operations of our innovative steakhouse. Your key responsibilities will include:

- **Leadership**: Providing strong leadership to our team, inspiring excellence, and fostering a culture of hospitality and professionalism.
- **Operations Management**: Overseeing all aspects of restaurant operations, including staffing, scheduling, inventory management, and procurement, to ensure seamless day-to-day functioning.
- **Guest Experience**: Ensuring that every guest enjoys a memorable dining experience, from the moment they step through our doors to the last bite of their meal, and addressing any concerns or feedback with grace and efficiency.
- **Financial Performance**: Managing budgets, controlling costs, and maximizing profitability while utilizing GAAP to maintain accurate financial records and analyze performance metrics.
- **Quality Control**: Maintaining the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and service, and working closely with the culinary team to ensure consistency and excellence in every dish.
- **Marketing and Promotion**: Collaborating with the marketing team to develop strategies to promote the restaurant, attract new customers, and engage with the local community.

**Qualifications**:

- Proven experience in a managerial role within the hospitality industry, preferably in upscale dining or steakhouse environments.
- Proficiency in GAAP and experience with financial management and analysis.
- Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
- Strong understanding of restaurant operations, including front-of-house and back-of-house procedures.
- Passion for food and hospitality, with a keen interest in culinary trends and innovation.
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
