**Job Description**:

- The purpose of the Continuous Improvement Specialist role is to act as a change agent for the GSS organization, driving operational excellence and continuous improvement practices throughout GSS service delivery teams. The Continuous Improvement Specialist is integral to identifying waste and unlocking value for GSS and Anglo-American customers.

**The primary accountabilities will incorporate**:

- Plan and deliver projects both as a solo agent or as part of a team (DMAIC methodology).
- Coaching team leaders in best practice methods for the full lifecycle of process management.
- Identifying and exploiting automation opportunities
- Co-designing and planning improvement actions with team leaders and front line service staff
- Preparing and facilitating workshops
- Coaching employees at all levels in broad Operational Excellence methods
- Managing improvement projects on a day-to-day basis
- Provide evidence based insight to senior management on the capability of operating teams. Help local management with the identification, design and execution of improvement actions
- Train managers and front-line personnel on new management practices
- Advise and influence GSS Service Leads (Band 5) on on-going operational performance
- Qualifications
- Educated to Degree level. Finance qualifications are beneficial but not essential.
- Lean Six Sigma knowledge. Preferably Green Belt Certified.
- Agile Project Management qualification would be an advantage

**Knowledge and Skills**
- Minimum 1-year experience in Continuous improvement environment (within Shared Services Centre or Multinational)
- Change and Process management experience.
- Experience in successful implementation of finance strategy/projects
- Senior stakeholder engagement experience
- Experience of working across all Functional teams within Finance (eg Accounting Services, Accounts Payable) and global regions (EMEA, APAC, LATAM)
- Experience in leading high performing virtual teams (global team)
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and to prioritise conflicting and frequently changing priorities
- Demonstrated lean leadership skills
