**IT Business Partner, South Africa & IT Project Delivery Lead, Africa**

**Role Outline**
- The IT Project Manager (IT PM) is responsible for managing IT projects or the IT part of business projects. This means that she/he is responsible, in particular, for delivering the agreed scope in the agreed time, in the agreed quality, and at the agreed costs, as well as for ensuring that IT provides optimal support to the overall project manager with the aim of supporting the business in the best possible way.- IT Project Management role profiles follow the 5 career levels of the standard Deutsche Post DHL Project Management role templates. This role profile describes career level 5: Drive the project management function and govern the project management methodology to ensure successful project delivery.- Keeps informed and shares current knowledge and future perspective of technology and systems as related to the LoB's competitive position.
- Accountable for delivering IT services to the (Supply Chain) business units across Africa (South Africa, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda)
- Accountable for the implementation of the Global IT Strategy and action programmes, enabling cost effectiveness, service quality and business development in a highly competitive and changing marketplace.
- Provide strong leadership to develop the Country IT Leads to enable the delivery of the Regional and Global IT strategy.
- Coordinate cross-BU activities with other divisions.

**Key areas of responsibility from a Project Manager aspect include**:

- Project delivered on time, on budget, within scope and within agreed quality standards.- Coordinate project schedules by compiling tasks, costs, timescales, and resource requirement lists from key project participants indicating start and completion dates, responsibilities and dependencies.
- Perform progress tracking and reporting of issues.
- Document scope changes and track approval by required parties to ensure benefit realisation.
- Track performance against the budget and report any variances.
- Report project progress to all stakeholders and support the production of a well-structured communications plan.
- Perform progress tracking and reporting of risks and mitigation plans and communicate progress.- Ensure that all required project documentation is completed to quality standards, kept up to date, available throughout the project and maintained in the project database.- Support the review of project performance against the business case and track action plans to ensure benefit realisation.
- Compliance to health and safety standards
- Review previous lessons learnt output and feedback to drive continuous improvement.
- Compile and track project resource timesheets
- Support the project team on the DePICT project management methodology and tools.

**Key areas of responsibility from an IT Lead aspect include**:
- Develops the Africa (South Africa, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda) IT strategy in line with the LoB's overall business and global IT strategy as well as following sector, vertical and horizontal guidelines and objectives.- Accounts for efficient, effective and timely delivery of all IT services and solutions within the Africa (South Africa, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda) aligned with the strategic needs of the LoB
- Controls adherence to IT governance mechanisms for the LoB within regional and overall DPDHL guidelines
- Leads the IT-interface within the LoB at Africa (South Africa, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda) level, provides co-ordination and direction and interacts with the business in the countries to ensure the needs of the business are addressed and issues raised are escalated and resolved.
- Analyses complex IT issues and modifies working methods in area of responsibility.
- Implements changes within own authority which directly influences the way Africa (South Africa, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda) is operating, making money or managing people.
- Delivery of IT solutions in a challenging environment with limited infrastructure
- Act as a change enabler - implementing single IT structures within each country, supporting all businesses within the Business unit.
- In conjunction with the Business Leaders agree sector priorities
