Business Development Manager for Construction Equipment

Work Africa is a Leader in the distribution of construction and forklift equipment, seeking an experienced Branch Manager to join their team.
Purpose of the Role:
To ensure achievement of branch performance imperatives across all business areas, setting targets across different revenue streams, ensuring organisational alignment in achieving said targets. This includes resource allocation, supporting relevant staff in achieving departmental performance imperatives. A strong focus on ensuring customer satisfaction and fostering effective supplier and other third-party relationships. Ensuring all administrative processes and procedures are adhered to, and relevant authorizations are in check. Offering operational support where required.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure achievement of Targets in line with Budget requirements: Manage daily Sales, including Rental, Parts and Service targets vs actual performance, reacting timeously to any identified problems.
- Manage and facilitate Work in Progress: Manage and facilitate all Work in Progress (WIP) by continuously monitoring the status of ongoing tasks ie. open jobs, accurate processing of warranty claims to ensure claim fitness etc.
- Branch Management: Continuously monitor and analyse branch financial performance, revenue, expense and optimise profitability. Implement cost-effective strategies and identify and address any deviations promptly.
- Effective Staff Management: Ensure effective staff training, mentoring, coaching and management of staff within the branch
- Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders. Address customer concerns and inquiries promptly, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. Identify and cultivate new business opportunities within the area
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Management / Operations Management / Supply Chain / Engineering or related field.
- Technical qualification, People Management, Financial Management, or Marketing and Sales Certifications (advantageous)
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in People Management, Sales and Parts Management, General Management, and technical knowledge (forklift, Operations and Maintenance)
- Administratively strong, with financial interpretation aptitude
- High level of problem-solving ability
- 3 years Workshop, Parts, well-rounded electrical, mechanical, parts, and hydraulic experience (Advantageous)
Estimated Salary: R1,200,000 - R1,500,000 per annum, depending on experience
