**Role Outline**

**Key areas of responsibility include**:

- Consult with managers to discover staff requirements and specific job objectives
- Write and post job descriptions on career websites, newspapers and universities boards
- Evaluate and screen resumes and cover letters
- Conduct phone, Skype and/or in-person interviews
- Help the hiring team with recruiting methods and interview questions
- Contact new employees and prepare onboarding sessions
- Prepare new hire paperwork ensuring legislation requirements are met
- Maintain a complete record of interviews and new hires
- Stay up-to-date with current recruiting methods
- Attend job fairs and careers events
- Familiar with social media, especially LinkedIn
- Other responsibilities as needed.
- Managing interview scheduling process
- Ensuring all recruitment activity is tracked within various systems
- Initiating background checks in the systems
- Formatting CVs and uploading them to the online portal and managing interview invites via the portal
- Maintaining the recruitment administration via in-house systems
- Ad hoc assistance with other administrative tasks for the team when required

**Qualifications/ Skills/Competencies/Experience**
- Matric (Grade 12)
- Bachelor's degree in human resources management, or similar.
- Microsoft Office with strong focus on Excel;
- 1-2 years of experience as a talent acquisition specialist, or similar.
- Recruiter with a track record of volume recruitment at management level e.g. in a recruitment role or large scale start up
- Personnel Administration knowledge will be advantageous

- Proactively drive effective use of various sourcing channels, e.g. LinkedIn, Xing, job fairs, university partnerships
- Has sound knowledge of succession pipeline analytics
- Create and analyze internal succession pipeline reports
- Has sound knowledge and experience of resource / workforce planning
- Create reports covering available resources, skills and locations to support effective resource planning
- Has sound knowledge and experience of facilitation which entails:

- key facilitation tools and techniques to select the appropriate means to facilitate groups effectively
- understanding on how to command a room and dictate a pace of a meeting
- Has deep knowledge of various HR information management systems
- Effectively find solutions for complex HR, TM systems requirements and come up with innovative solutions to meet business needs
- Combine Performance & Talent Management system data with market analysis and global trends into digestible and applicable support for business and HR leaders.
