Purpose

Partner with the CPO to develop and implement transformational HR solutions that will enable the business to achieve its strategic objectives. Translate business strategy into HR Priorities and actional goals. Establish strong working relationships with individual stakeholders and become a trusted and credible strategic partner, coaching and influencing business leaders. Collaborate the with various stakeholders to develop and implement initiatives aimed at optimizing and managing organizational design, organizational effectiveness, employee engagement and retention. Ensure all expectations and goals are met at an optimal level, adherence to HR best practice and principles, advising management to consistently drive high performance through coaching, mentoring and motivating staff.

**Minimum Qualifications and Experience**
- A relevant Human Resources qualification (BCom - HR, Psychology, Business related, or related field)
- Valid Driver’s license, travelling to other regions and ours clients retail stores
- MS Office Advanced

- 5 years Generalist HR Experience
- 3-5 years of experience in Business Partnering
- Expert knowledge and experience in HR practices legislation
- Solid recruitment, ER and IR

- Experience as a change leader with the ability to identify areas that would benefit from change and then drive this through to completion.
- Previous experience in a generalist HR role, having influenced line managers and driven/implemented HR strategy.
- Proven ability to operate in a matrixed business environment and within a HR shared services model.
- Substantial knowledge and experience of best in class HR, covering the full HR cycle, systems, policies and relevant legislation, as well as of the business strategy and needs.
- Deep employee relations experience, with experience of negotiating productively with trade unions and works councils.
- Previous line management experience.
- Proficiency in English language, with strong verbal and written skills.

**Internal Processes**
- Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counselling, career development, disciplinary actions)
- Lead in the continued improvement of the health of the organization by monitoring performance indicators, such as absenteeism levels, grievances levels, disciplinary processes, employee wellbeing matters, development of initiatives and solutions
- Fostering and maintaining a work environment that encourages respect, and is free from discriminatory or harassing behaviour
- Develop, Evaluate and drive group policies and procedures
- Understand, implement and make recommendations for changes and approvals of salary structures
- Advises Managers on all matters impacting the human resources function, and providing additional HR guidance and support where appropriate
- Maintains human resource information system records and compiles reports from the database
- Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance
- Monthly HR Reporting (including Budget vs Actuals, Headcount, Employee analytics, forecasting, turnover, etc.)

**Resourcing and Talent Management**
- Ensure that effective talent identification measures are in place and practiced
- Implement talent audit processes to identify talented individuals within the company
- Implement programmes to ensure that managers are aware of talent identification and development programmes and understand the importance of identifying, developing and retaining talent
- Ensure that sound career management processes are in place for talented individuals and that these are in line with group and subsidiary strategy
- Work closely with the CPO to ensure that good executive and leadership development programmes are in place
- Establish a culture of learning and development in the company
- Ensure that each staff member has a PDP and line managers are effectively supported in performance management
- Ensure that performance management systems and processes are efficient and serve the company effectively.
- Ensure that the Performance management process is effectively coordinated and that all deadlines are met
- Work closely with the CPO to establish diverse incentive, reward and benefit systems that consider the drivers of talented staff

**Employee Relations**
- Attend to day-to-day Employee Relations matters and ensure that labour legislation is adhere
