Job Overview:
The Senior Stakeholder Relationship Manager will play a critical role in driving our organization's mission by establishing strong connections with stakeholders, fostering innovative collaborations, and ensuring the successful implementation of grant programs.

**Responsibilities**:
1. Strategic Relationship Management
- Develop and implement a comprehensive strategic relationship management plan to identify, engage, and cultivate partnerships with stakeholders including governmental agencies, foundations, corporations, NGOs, community organizations, philanthropists, donors, and other relevant industry bodies.
- Build new partnerships as well as maintain existing relationships that foster innovation and collaboration.
- Develop success criteria and establish monitoring and measurement processes to assess the value of activities to stakeholders and future opportunities.
- Coordinate and prepare communications to stakeholders and respond to stakeholder inquiries.
- Report on the status of engaged opportunities to all stakeholders and leadership.

2. Partnership Development
- Identify potential collaboration opportunities that align with the organization's mission and strategic goals.
- Initiate and negotiate partnerships and alliances that amplify the impact and reach of the organization's initiatives.
- Position the organization positively to attract new donors and create initiatives with selected partners that align with the organization's mission.
- Monitor and evaluate stakeholder satisfaction and engagement levels, reporting on outcomes and challenges of stakeholder management activities.

3. Grant Portfolio Management
- Design and develop a grantee strategy that aligns with the organization’s strategy.
- Oversee the management of the organization's grantee portfolio, ensuring effective communication, support, and compliance with grant requirements.
- Assess grantee performance, evaluate the impact of funded programs, and communicate findings with the CEO and trustees.
- Develop policies for the processing and safeguarding of donor funding and coordinate the disbursement of funds.

4. Innovation and Collaboration
- Foster a culture of innovation within the organization by encouraging cross-functional collaboration, brainstorming, and knowledge sharing among team members and partners.
- Feed market insights into the overall knowledge management system.
- Scan the wider policy environment to identify opportunities for future work that supports the strategic aims of the organization.
- Develop leads to establish relationships with senior stakeholders and identify opportunities for joint future work.

5. Communication and Reporting
- Provide regular risk management, reporting, and budget oversight.
- Prepare detailed reports and updates for internal and external stakeholders.

**Education**:

- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; a Master’s degree preferred in Social Science (Politics, Economics, or Development Finance).

**Experience**:

- Proven track record of at least 5 to 10 years in senior leadership roles focused on strategic relationship management, partnerships, and grant management.
- Extensive experience in stakeholder relations at a senior level, including NGOs, government, business partners, and community organizations.
- Strong understanding and network of key stakeholders including philanthropy, nonprofit organizations, social impact initiatives, SME stakeholders, government stakeholders, and relevant industry bodies.

Knowledge:

- Knowledge and understanding of government development policies.
- Knowledge of donor funding processes and funding methodology.

**Skills**:

- Strategic planning and program/project management.
- Research and analysis.
- Exceptional communication skills to manage senior stakeholder meetings and relationships.
- Ability to think creatively, strategically, and analytically to solve complex challenges.
- Experience in budget management and financial oversight.
- Proven ability to take initiative and be both creative and analytical.
- Ethical and principled approach to partnership development and grant management.
