**JOB SUMMARY**
Responsible for successfully executing all engineering/maintenance and housekeeping related tasks. Conducts maintenance of the building, grounds and physical plant, cleanliness of guest rooms, public space, recreation and laundry. Responsible for maintaining standards and regulatory requirements.
**CANDIDATE PROFILE**
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED; 1 year experience in the engineering and maintenance or related professional area; technical training in HVAC-R/Electrical/Plumbing.
OR
- 2-year degree from an accredited university in Building and Construction, Engineering, Mechanics, or related major; no experience in the engineering and maintenance or related professional area; technical training in HVAC-R/Electrical/Plumbing.
**CORE WORK ACTIVITIES**
**Supporting Engineering and Housekeeping Operations**
- May participate in developing project plans in accordance with renovation or new construction needs.
- Assists in the implementation of preventative maintenance and asset protection plan.
- Assists with managing the physical plant including equipment, refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, water treatment and electrical systems in accordance with brand Standard Operating Procedures.
**Maintaining Property Standards**
- Assists with managing and controling heat, light and power.
- Assists with maintenance of property’s life safety systems (e.g., fire fighting equipment, sprinkler systems, alarm systems).
- May serve as a contact in regard to all hotel emergency procedures, equipment and alarms.
**Participating in team communications and achievement of departmental goals**
- Participates in on-going communication in areas of Engineering and Housekeeping.
- May communicate critical information to Engineering and Housekeeping leadership teams.
- Works towards achieving departmental goals to produce desired results.
