**Job Title**: Technical Sales Manager - Water Treatment

**Location**:Cape Town, South Africa

**Reports To**: You will be reporting to the CEO of the company.

**Job Type**:Full-time

**Salary**:NEGOTIABLE ACCORDING TO EXPERIENCE

We design, build and install bespoke water treatment systems for commercial and residential premises alike. We pride ourselves on the professional delivery of our service. **Key Responsibilities**

**Sales and Business Development**:

- Identify and target new business opportunities within the water treatment sector.
- Prepare and submit detailed proposals, including technical specifications, pricing, and terms.
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations and demonstrations to clients and stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions

**Technical Expertise**:

- Provide expert advice on water treatment solutions, including equipment, chemicals, and systems.
- Collaborate with the engineering and product development teams to customize solutions for clients.
- Conduct site assessments to evaluate client needs and recommend appropriate solutions.

**Team management**:

- Manage a sales team.
- Report to the CEO on sales performance and take full accountability for sales performance.

**Market Analysis**:

- Stay informed about industry trends, technologies, and competitive landscape.
- Gather and analyze market data to identify opportunities and develop strategic sales plans.

**Qualifications/Experience**:

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Environmental), Chemistry, Physics or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of [3-5] years of experience in technical sales within the water treatment industry.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of water treatment technologies, including filtration, disinfection, and chemical dosing.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and engaging manner
- Sales Skills: Proven track record of achieving sales targets and developing client relationships
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide innovative solutions to clients
- Travel: Willingness to travel to client sites and industry events as needed.
- **Valid drivers’ license and have own transport.**

**Preferred Skills**:

- Experience with specific water treatment systems or technologies (e.g., reverse osmosis, UV systems).
- Familiarity with industry regulations and standards.
- Proficiency in CRM software and sales tools.
