**Internship Summary**

The** **Sales Development Intern** will work out of our Cape Town office in South Africa. You will report to the Business Development Manager, Latin America and will be focused on research and sales tasks while being exposed to a complete scope of our Sales functions. You will gain valuable Sales experience while contributing to and supporting our global workforce. You will work in a high energy, exciting and multi-cultural environment with an open family vibe. Working hard and playing hard go hand in hand at AJC. You must be someone who can complement our culture and energy.** **If you are dynamic, positive, know how to communicate effectively, and are also extremely organized, self-motivated and have a strong interest in Sales - please apply You must be fluent in English for consideration. Other African languages are a plus.**

**Internship Hours**:

- **20 hours minimum** per week.

- Duration: Minimum 3 months with possible extensions.

- Flexible working schedule available to accommodate class schedules.

**Your Day-to-Day**:
- Cold calling and qualifying importers in Africa based on the contact information we have in house. This will be the main part of the internship (45-60 days) - The intern will be given a script in English to help assess the potential of the importers we have in our database.

- Research importers contact information online for over 500 leads using the internet and other tools provided (30 days).

- Other Sales tasks as assigned.

- Must be able to meet deadlines easily.

- Effective verbal and written communication skills.

- Computer literacy and advanced Microsoft Office knowledge.
- **Energetic and fun-loving personality. A great sense of humor is a huge plus**
- **Previous international experience or exposure is required.**
- **Ability to speak, read, and write English fluently**.
- **Any other languages used in Africa will be a big plus**.

- Current university students pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management.

**High School** Experience:
