Duties/Pligte
- Verskaf gedetailleerde advies, aanbevelings en leiding aan gebruikers in die effektiewe gebruik van IKT-stelsels, -produkte en -dienste;
- Ontleed en oplos van probleme van gebruikerstoepassings, toerusting en randapparatuur met behulp van standaardprosedures;
- Installasie, konfigurasie en opgradering van Microsoft, iOS en Android-bedryfstelsels en -toepassings, asook derdeparty-programmatuur uniek tot departemente;
- Gee raad en leiding aan kollegas met minder ervaring waar nodig met behulp van aanbiedings en tegniese opleiding;
- Hulpverlening met die saamstel van selfhelpgidse om kollegas en gebruikers te bemagtig om rekenaarapparatuur
- en/of programmatuurprobleme selfstandig op te los;
- Bly op hoogte van die nuutste tegnologie en tendense deur middel van navorsing, eksperimentering en selfstudie;
- Monitering van stelsels deur gereelde hersiening, in ooreenstemming met diensvlakooreenkomste, noteringsprobleme, identifisering van tendense en die verbetering van stelsels deur middel van die nodige regstellings;
- Konfigurasie, administrasie en dokumentasie van die netwerkinfrastruktuur en -komponente.
- Providing detailed advice, recommendations and guidance to users in the effective use of ICT systems, products and services;
- Providing advice and guidance to less experienced colleagues where required by means of presentations and technical training;Assisting with the compilation of self-help guides to help colleagues and users to resolve their own computer related issues;
- Staying informed about the latest technologies and trends through ongoing research, experimentation and self-study;
- Recording work with appropriate documentation, meeting the required standards and using suitable methods and tools;
- Monitor systems by regular reviewing in accordance with service level agreements, noting problems, identifying trends and taking corrective actions to improve performance;
- Configuration, administration and documentation of the network infrastructure and its components.

Job Requirements/Pos Vereistes
'- 'n Twee-jaar, rekenaarverwante kwalifikasie met minstens een jaar se ervaring, **_OF_** rekenaarverwante opleiding (bv. A+, MCSE, MCITP, ens.), sowel as minstens drie jaar se ervaring in rekenaargebruikersondersteuning;
- ''n Grondige begrip van rekenaarargitektuur en netwerktegnologie;
- Die vermoë om rekenaarverwante probleme selfstandig en doelmatig op te los;
- Die vermoë om in ''n span, sowel as onafhanklik, selfgemotiveerd en met selfvertroue te werk;
- Die vermoë om spanlede en gebruikers te bemagtig deur kennis en oplossings te deel en sodoende werksvloei te verbeter;
- Effektiewe tydsbestuursvaardigheid en die vermoë om beide geskeduleerde en ongeskeduleerde take te prioritiseer;
- Die vermoë om druk in ''n veranderende omgewing te hanteer;
- Bereidwilligheid en beskikbaarheid om, teen ekstra vergoeding, na-ure bystanddiens te verrig;
- Uitstekende tydsbestuur en die vermoë om meervoudige take gelyktydig te kan uitvoer.

Daar sal van kandidate wat die kortlys haal verwag word om 'n tegniese vaardigheidstoets af te lê en aan gepaste psigometriese toetsing onderwerp te word._**
- A two-year, computer-related qualification with a minimum of one year of experience, **_OR_** **computer-related training (e.g. A+, MCSE, MCITP, etc.) with a minimum of three years'' experience in computer user support;
- A good understanding of computer architecture and network technology;
- The ability to solve computer-related problems independently and practically;
- The ability to function in a team as well as independently, in a self-motivated and confident manner;
- The ability to empower team members and users by sharing knowledge and solutions in order to streamline workflow;
- Effective time management skills and the ability to prioritise both scheduled and unscheduled tasks;
- The ability to perform well under stress in a dynamic environment;
- Willingness and availability to perform after hours stand-by tasks for additional remuneration;Excellent time management and multitasking skills.
