Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking a **Reservationist** for a Luxury lodge and Hotel group.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Make reservations for the hotel and prepare rate proposals.
- Ensure accurate records of guests’ bookings, payments, and additional information required by hotel team members.
- Answer reservation calls in a pleasant and courteous manner, adhering to required standards.
- Up-sell by informing guests of special packages or higher room categories.
- Assist in maintaining an efficient administration system within the department.
- Follow up on all quotations promptly to maximize revenue.
- Manage room blocks and group bookings of all sizes.
- Endeavor to resolve guest complaints and escalate when necessary.
- Inform other departments of special instructions/facilities.
- Establish and quote rates within authorized negotiation procedures.
- Familiarize yourself with the hotel offerings, packages, and specials to assist with general guest requests.
- Prepare arrival/guest correspondence packs for Front Office daily.
- Assist with booking transfers and other outlet requests by communicating with necessary departments.
- Report any rate or system discrepancies to the Reservations Manager.
- Escalate all complaints promptly.
- Ensure optimal utilization of the PMS and maintain knowledge of all room types and availability.
- Send invoices, credit card payment links, and follow up on payments, ensuring accurate posting against each booking.
- Ensure all internal worksheets are actioned and updated daily.
- Ensure accurate and detailed capturing of bookings.
- Manage any guest feedback to the necessary departments.
- Ensure reservations vouchers are recorded and allocated correctly.
- Attend training when required.
- Experience with GDS operating systems and website extranets advantageous.
- Perform duties in accordance with applicable quality assurance standards and departmental standard operating procedures.

**Minimum Experience & Requirements**:

- 3-5 years reservation and revenue management experience in a similar environment.
- Hotel school diploma or similar advantageous.
- High communication skills in English - verbal and written.
- OTA - responses.
- Attention to detail.
- Well-presented and well-spoken.
- Friendly, self-motivated, and energetic personality.
- Embraces challenge and demonstrates self-discipline and willingness to learn.
- Reliability and adaptability.

**Salary**:

- The package includes a mandatory 5% deduction towards the company’s provident fund.
- Medical Aid is available as part of the CTC package.
- Remuneration will be discussed during interviews
