The client was established in 1976 and has grown to become a world leader in the design and manufacture of ceramic tiles and bathroom ware. The Group comprises five tile factories, one ceramic sanitaryware factory and one acrylic bath factory, all based in South Africa, and a tile factory in Australia. It also fully owns Southern Africas largest tile adhesive manufacturing business.

We are looking for an experienced Chief Executive Officer (CEO) who will be responsible for driving performance and formulating strategic guidance and direction to the board and employees to ensure that the Company achieves its financial vision, mission, and long-term goals. The incumbent will be required to practice and entrench the values and culture of the Group. In this role, you will be reporting to the CEO of the JSE listed Group and will take total responsibility for the business profitability, growth, and general health (people and balance sheet).

- In collaboration with the Executive team, provide input into the development of the Companys short, medium, and long-term strategy and translate this into action plans and budgetary impacts (strategies must facilitate sustained maximization of return on investment, revenue growth, margin growth, profitability, and cost efficiencies).****:

- Accountable for strategy implementation and delivery of optimization across all manufacturing and associated operations.****:

- Implement strategies to secure and grow sustainable market share in profitable market segments.****:

- Use technology to integrate operational systems and developments to enhance company competitiveness.****:

- Stay abreast of both factory technology and market trends, and innovate to streamline service delivery, enhance value proposition, and improve efficiencies.****:

- Provide expertise and thought leadership in order to develop frameworks and policies that enable the achievement of organizational strategy and objectives as well as legal compliance.****:

- Shape and evolve a world-class approach to ceramic sanitaryware suppliers services that builds the culture in line with growth strategies.
- Update policies, systems, process, and procedures to effectively mitigate risks and ensure that business needs addressed.
- Build capacity for organic or acquisitive growth.

**Key Performance Area (Functional)**:

- Ensure the effective management and integration of the different Operations and Support Teams and in full understanding, adherence, and enforcing of the Company culture.
- Influence the development of and drive the implementation of a customer excellence culture that builds positive relationships and encourages feedback.
- Seek to establish and maintain collaborative, cross functional relationships and strategic alliance partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to strengthen synergies.
- Build strong client relationships with a focus on enhancing and improving the service delivery offering.
- Analyze operations reporting and data to evaluate the performance of the organization in terms of meeting objectives, and determine areas of cost reduction, improvement, and policy change.

**Key Performance Area (Forecasting, Budgeting, and Financial Management)**:

- Work closely with the Financial Executive to ensure that the organizations strategy is adequately budgeted for through the development and implementation of a requisite financial plan. Influence and manage the implementation of the financial plan across the business.
- Identify areas for revenue growth through identifying new business opportunities.
- Be the custodian of the balance sheet by managing aspects such as credit risks, foreign currency exposure, etc.
- Ensure that organizational capability areas and functional areas are adequately resourced to develop, implement, and track financial plans and budgets in alignment with the overall financial objectives.
- Assist the business in achieving the budgeted Gross Margin by continuous service improvement and cost management, included but not limited to; o Monitoring and managing all direct labour costs like overtime, absenteeism, training, excess leave, and staff turnover.
- Overhead cost control.
- Comply with group financial policies and limits of authority.

- Create individual and team ownership for decision making by collaborating with and empowering team members.
