The Learning and Development (L&D) Manager is responsible for the Planning, Coordination, Implementation and Reporting of Learning in the SNG Grant Thornton. L&D Manager will manage the relationships with Internal and External Training Facilitators, Grant Thornton International Learning Team and the Sector Education and Training Authority (SETA). The L&D Coordinator will assist the L&D Leader to:
**The responsibilities include**:

- Strategic planning and execution of the department's mandate
- Aligning the L&D strategy with the organisation's strategy
- Designing, implementing and evaluating the L&D service offerings and programmes. This includes

technical, managerial, leadership and executive development programmes.
- Develop and update the leadership development frameworks of the organisation and define and implement

the processes and methodologies.
- Periodically review and implement new L&D methodologies and evaluate the existing methods which

include Formal Programmes, Business Driven Action Learning, Coaching and Mentoring, Team Coaching

and Process Facilitation.
- Educate and introduce the organisation to innovative learning and development theories and models.
- Educate and advise on cutting edge technologies in the field.
- Managing a team of specialists who coordinate the different L&D programmes.
- Develop the competencies of the L&D team members and provide coaching and mentoring to these

individuals.
- Contract with external service providers on certain service offerings and monitor and evaluate the

performance of these contractors.
- Managing the budget of the L&D unit.
- Engage with EXCO and the Head of Talent to understand the business needs and to present new service

offerings
- Induction of New Managers
- Learner Management System

**Minimum Qualification**:

- A master degree in Leadership, a MBL or masters degree in Psychology

or Industrial Psychology.
- Or similar qualifications at the masters level.
- Strategic planning and execution skills
- Learning and development skills (diagnostic, design, presenting, facilitation, consultation, coaching and mentoring skills)
- Leadership and management skills
- Financial management skills
- Excellent Excel skills
- Microsoft Office

**Minimum Experience**:

- A minimum of 5 years experience in a supervisory or managerial role in a L&D environment
- Experience in successfully designing, implementing and evaluating Leadership Programmes
- Experience in managing a team of L&D consultants
