**Internal Business Development Consultant -Structural Steel**

**Salary: R30 000 plus pension, commission and discretionary bonus**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve targets and expand market share.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including prospecting and lead generation.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless execution of projects and delivery of products/services.
- Stay updated on industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities to inform strategic decision-making.
- Familiarize yourself with different types of steel, their properties, uses, and manufacturing processes. This includes understanding steel grades, alloys, and production methods.
- Meet and exceed sales targets.
- Key accounts management.
- Sales planning.
- Prepare quotations.
- Processing of invoices
- Assist in tender processing.
- Answering incoming calls and converting enquiries into sales.
- Following up on leads.
- Costumers are to be contacted monthly by the internal salesperson.
- Handling customer complaints and enquiries.

**Requirements**:

- Proven track record in sales, preferably in the steel industry or related field.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of Pastel software and sales analytics tools is a plus.
- Preferably an undergraduate degree or diploma
- 5 years’ experience in a similar position
- Knowledge of structural steel.
- Own mode of transport to the company
- Good communication skills
