**Job purpose**

Responsible for the effective day-to-day supervision of the Groups & Events team and processes in co-ordinating accommodation reservations and initiating and planning events for conferencing Groups with the aim of acquiring, developing, retaining, and maximising current and future conferencing and event business and revenue potential for the property, in line with Sun standards and legislative requirements

**Qualifications**

Minimum of a 3-year Diploma in Business, Hospitality, or Events Management

**Experience**

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in sales, reservations and/or events management, preferably obtained within the hospitality and casino industry

**Work conditions and special requirements**

Working hours in line with operational requirements. This may include overtime, evenings, and weekends

**Job Complexity**
- Requires specialised theoretical knowledge and processes relating to Groups and events administration and events management practices, processes, and regulations
- Short term planning (within 12 months) involves conducting the planning of activities to meet and optimise new business targets and growth
- Organise, plan, and prioritise tasks for self and team to ensure that work gets done profitably and efficiently.
