Appointment as Head of CPF for the Gauteng/Central region. Will be accountable for building the franchise across the Wealth, Commercial and Enterprise segments whilst collaborating with internal stakeholders across the bank's value chain leveraging internal capabilities to deliver the product to clients and broaden touch points / engagement levels. Suited to an individual with 10 years plus experience in the SA Property market with a min of 5 years at a senior level in a bank. Successful incumbent will have the ability to negotiate and conclude complex property transactions at a senior industry level. Management authority to make significant decisions and certain strategic decisions or recommendations is essential

**Job Description**:
Product and Service delivery
- Act as sector expert and representative for CPF in Relationship Banking with accountability for the CPF product delivery across the Relationship Banking for the region. Develop an appropriate network in order to maximise all potential opportunities.
- Maintain a sound knowledge base of the commercial and residential property market i the region.
- Take a lead role in originating, evaluating, and executing property finance transactions.
- Develop and manage strong and collaborative relationships with leadership / regional management in Relationship Banking and other stakeholders in order to devise the best solutions (within the risk appetite) for clients.
- Develop appropriate market knowledge of pricing, structuring and covenants.
- Build and maintain excellent and pro-active relationships with relevant infrastructure stakeholders, incl. Credit, Legal, Valuation and BPM
- Drive excellence in client engagement (both new to Bank and new to CPF) and service delivery to clients, consistently meeting their needs.
- Developing a competitive and innovative product offering for the Relationship Banking segments in conjunction with RB segment heads
- Achieve annual financial targets as agreed with the Head CPF AGL and RB Exco
- Proactive management of all risk aspects including conduct and credit risk, ensuring all team members are fully compliant.
- Drive and monitor regional market share, customer retention, customer growth, customer satisfaction and customer profitability.
- Communicate the regional strategy to the regional leadership team and ensure deep understanding across the whole business.
- Take responsibility for marketing, media liaison and client relationship initiatives within the region.

Business Management
- Own the product offering in the region, whilst ensuring a sustainable operating model that promotes collaboration with peers and colleagues.
- Instill a best-in-class approach to product knowledge, sales research, customer relationship development, and solutioning to meet customers’ needs.
- Operational excellence: drive sustainable process efficiencies through continuous improvement, industry benchmarking and alignment to best practice. Drive regional alignment.
- As a member of the CPF RB Management team, ensure collaborative working and sharing of best practice across the team.
- Accountable for developing annual STP/MTPs and delivery of agreed financial outcomes. Drive appropriate interlock of product targets with Coverage.
- Establish, monitor and drive key performance indicators and drive achievement of both financial and non-financial targets.
- Pro-actively identify and manage impairment risk across the portfolio and minimize financial loss to the firm
- Track targets and provide insightful commentary on business performance.
- Monitor, analyze, interpret and communicate performance data in a way that gives Manco, Segment and the businesses confidence in the information. Define targets, financial and non‐financial, which drive performance in line with CPF strategy.
- Monitor the risk weighted return on the portfolio of existing clients by proactively working with the relevant stakeholders to manage margins, fees, impairments and costs in order to maximise Return on Equity.
- Monitor the impairments for the regional business and ensure that no avoidable provisions are raised due to non‐adherence or ineffective management.

People Management
- Together with the Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP), determine the people management strategy for the region, with a focus on talent management, development, resourcing, and retention.
- Drive a culture of transformation and innovation within the coverage team and encourage knowledge sharing and new ways of doing things.
