Distribution and Planning Co-ordinator

My client based in Blackheath is seeking to employ a Distribution and Planning Co-Ordinator who will be reporting directly the Supply Chain Manager.

**Key performance areas include**:

- Distribution:_
- Making sure that the distribution is planned according to the order cycle and no distribution cycle is missed.
- Planning of distribution using one beat - every 2 weeks
- Updating of Sales order with the supply chain comments, estimated eta and any other relevant information.
- Sticking to target shipments in order to keep costs low
- Unscheduled Distribution:_
- Planning of picking slip for items on back order and items in red and black as per one beat
- Updating of Sales order with the supply chain comments, estimated eta and any other relevant information
- Production:_
- BOM Maintenance
- MTO - setup correctly in order for the job cards to be created in the correct qty.
- MTO items do not make more than the buffer
- Creating of job cards using one beat - unconfirmed
- Confirming / realising job cards based on the production capacity
- Monitoring the value of the outstanding wip in order to make sure that the company is not holding raw materials unnecessarily.
- Liaising with Customer Care Manager with regards to the previous days production
- Understanding of any production constraints
- Making sure that the old wip job cards are closed on a regular basis by Warehouse administrators
- Communicating with Inventory Management and Procurement Controller on any items for production that are outstanding
- Interbranch transfers:_
- Coordinating with customer care with regards to shipment for the following week and month.
- Updating of Sales order with the supply chain comments, estimated eta and any other relevant information
- Communicating with Inventory Management and Procurement controller with regards to any MTO buy-outs that need to be actioned as well as any back orders on Import or Local items
- Liaising with sales team with regards to the eta of back orders

**Skills Required**:

- Knowledge of freight regulations and procedures
- Financial accounting experience will be advantageous.
- Understanding of Creditors
- Excellent Communication and good administrative skills
- Strong problem-solving skills with ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Exceptional work ethic, reliability and consistent energy levels
- Strong communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team.
- Planning, organising and excellent time management skills.
- Critical thinker with emotional resilience to overcome obstacles.
- Energetic, hardworking, self-driven individual with strong analytical abilities.
- Excellent numerical skills
- Previous experience with Syspro will be an advantage
- Previous experience with One beat will be an advantage

**Requirements include**:

- Matric
- Post Matric tertiary diploma or degree will be advantageous (Supply Chain, Logistics or Warehousing)
- Min of 1 year’s Distribution experience / planning experience / Warehouse management experience
- Fully fluent in English and Afrikaans
- Proficiency using MS Word, Excel and Outlook
- Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety Act
- Knowledge of Industrial Relations, BCE Act, Employment Equity Act
- Valid driver’s license is essential
