Doctors Room Assistant/ Clerk

**Job Duties/Responsibilities will include**:
Assisting the doctor as needed including welcoming and attending to patients

Answering incoming calls, enquiries and booking of appointments and managing the Doctors diary

Creating electronic medical files and filing all patient documents electronically on OneNote, and invoicing

Taking and recording of payments from patients

Communicating with a clear and well-spoken voice in the English language

Keeping a tidy desk

Assist with hospital admissions

Dealing with patients’ families as to requirements that they have

Booking tests for patients

Assisting the doctor with patient referrals to other disciplines

Typing letters and dealing with correspondence where necessary

General administrative duties

Grade 12,

Relevant office or clerical qualification

Excellent knowledge and use of Google Calendar and Microsoft (One Drive, OneNote, Excel, Word)

Available immediately for interviews and training on Saturdays if accepted for the job

Meticulous, highly competent, highly organised, able to prioritise work appropriately, be very efficient and able to grasp concepts quickly and easily

Punctual, honest, reliable and emotionally mature

Ability to take responsibility positively run a smooth doctor’s practice

Work well with nurses, admin staff, other receptionists, and all other staff at the clinic

Willing to be well-versed with all the doctor’s policies and procedures
