Purpose:
The Learning and Development Coordinator will support the design and delivery of a range of global, regional, and UK development initiatives for lawyers and business services professionals. This involves both in-house programs, workshops and e-learning, and liaising with commissioned external providers as appropriate. In addition, the role is responsible for working with the Learning and Development Administrator to record evidence of lawyer development in accordance with relevant regulators’ requirements, and will provide administrative support as needed for HL Learn team processes and communications.

Key Performance Areas and Accountabilities:

- Coordinating senior associate, associate and trainee development programs in EMEA:

- Developing and managing the communications and invitation process
- Coordinating room bookings, catering, room set-up and AV set-up for in-person programs
- Liaising with internal and external facilitators in relation to arrangements for their sessions
- Supporting with the creation, updating and distribution of program materials
- Monitoring team mailboxes, managing calendar invitations for training sessions and maintaining attendance records
- Using the firm’s learning management system to create sessions, send invitations, track attendance and other program details
- Hosting virtual training events, ensuring the highest quality of experience for participants, contributors and providers
- Administering online assessments and feedback surveys, and collating the results
- Processing invoices and expenses related to programs and workshops
- Maintaining team records and databases
- Ensuring proper administration of learning plans for the SRA Continuing Competence process
- Perform additional duties or responsibilities, which fall reasonably within the ambit of the job description or in accordance with operational requirements
- All members of the firm participate in our Responsible Business program

Requirements Profile:
Education
- Grade 12 or equivalent (NQF 4) - Required
- HR Degree or equivalent tertiary qualification (NQF Level 6/7)

Experience
- Minimum 2 - 3 years’ experience operational Learning & Development
- Previous experience of working in a professional services environment, ideally in a Learning and Development role

System Skills
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Good knowledge of Teams, Zoom, interactive software for polling, quizzes etc.

- Excellent project management skills, with a keen focus on prioritization and planning
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrates a proactive attitude and a willingness to use initiative
