We are on the hunt for a Head of Finance, reporting to the Group Chief Financial Officer.

**What you'll be doing**

1. Financial Management
- Responsible for the total finance function of the group of companies within Southern Africa and the overall consolidation of financial results
- Management of overall Working Capital and Cash flow position

2. Financial Reporting
- With the assistance of the reporting manager; provide Monthly & Quarterly reporting & insights into financial results to Group CFO, MD & FP&A department
- Ensuring delivery of timely and accurate financial information

3. Financial Audits
- Collaborate with external auditors as and when needed
- Manage the annual audit process for all subsidiaries and the group company to ensure deadlines are met
- Manage requests & collaborate with Internal audit & ERM
- Implement recommendations from internal audit, ERM and external audit

4. Financial Budgets
- Co-ordinate and handle the annual zero-based budgeting process
- Analyse and review monthly results against budget. Highlighting any major discrepancies on a timely basis
- Maintain an adequate system of budgets and controls created to mitigate risk

5. Financial Regulations and Treasury
- Responsible for the integrity of accounts and compliance with necessary regulatory standards/government laws, i.e. IFRS, SARS, BURS, Namibia Inland Revenue etc.
- Responsible for Treasury management

6. Financial Systems
- Co-ordinate business systems, support and development, taking ownership of the ERP system

7. Risk
- Ensuring robust financial control environment to address risks appropriately
- Focus on merchant balances and the net merchant position; ensuring proper reconciliations are performed and reviewed monthly

8. Team Management
- Lead and develop the finance team by providing training, mentorship, and performance evaluations
- Manage team KPI’s and aligning them with finance and company objectives

9. Punctuality and Attendance
- Responsible to uphold good punctuality and attendance

10. Responsibilities on Demand
- Due to the fluid and dynamic environment within PayFast, new, additional or changed position responsibilities will occur
- Successful demonstration of change orientation is an on-going responsibility in all positions

**What you'll need**
- Qualified CA (SA)
- Knowledge of regulatory tax and financial reporting standards
- 6+ years’ experience
- Track record of successfully managing audits, multiple subsidiaries and budgeting processes
- Technically sound, tax experience in Botswana/Namibia will be an added benefit
