New Business Development Specialist

The new Business Development Sales Specialist will be responsible for identifying and closing new opportunities consistent with client goals and objectives. This position requires the ability to successfully prospect for new sales opportunities in the small, mid-market and enterprise account sectors across various vertical markets.
Duties will include but not be limited to:
- Bringing in existing contacts and build new relationships with prospects
- Conducting customer sales meetings, both remotely and in person
- Conducting corporate presentations, preparing sales proposals, presenting and closing sales agreements and contracts
- Utilising different networking options effectively (meetings, joint planning, entertainment, etc.), to build productive internal/external relations
- Obtain a firm understanding of the company's services portfolio and their unique market differentiators
- Displaying high level of negotiation skills in the process of converting opportunities to revenue
- Achieving revenue and margin objectives to ensure growth and maximum profitability for the company
- Achieving weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual sales quota. Meeting minimum KPI quota as set out by the Sales Manager
- Tracking and recording activity on accounts and closing deals to meet targets, forecasting sales targets and ensuring they are met
- Developing / executing strategic account plans and tactics to build relationships, developing early cycle business opportunities, increasing account penetration, delivering strategic value and scheduling regular business reviews with the client
**Requirements**:
- Matric / Tertiary qualification will be advantageous
- 4-6 years of IT Service Management sales experience
- Previous IT Operations, Managed Services, IT Service Management experience
- Previous technology sales experience
- Solutions sales orientated
- Own transport essential
- Strong sales background with proven record (NBD)
- Strong effective communicator / excellent communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and networking skills
- Industry and market knowledge
