**Synopsis** JOB PURPOSE**
Provide support to Business Development Managers (“BDM”) and/or Senior Dealmakers (“SDM”) to actively source and develop bankable transactions/deals within the SBU’s sectoral focus area, with specific focus on the Media & audio sector.
Provide administrative deal back-office support to the unit to achieve the SBUs strategic objectives, industry development goals and the IDC’s developmental outcomes.
**Job Description** MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
Internal /Operational Processes
- Support BDMs/SDMs with the origination of investment opportunities based on strategic fit, developmental outcomes and economic viability.
- Support BDMs/SDMs with the conducting of detailed market assessment: identifying, researching, filtering and prioritizing of new market opportunities to improve deal sourcing.
- Support BDMs/SDM' with the end-to-end management of the deal sourcing process, anticipating client needs and responding with innovative solutions to clients emerging needs.
- Support BDMs/SDMs with after care support
- Perform the following function at the request of the SBU Head / on behalf of the SBU:
- SAP administration
- Pipeline monitoring
- FICA and other compliance clearance
- Admin report compilation (disbursements, pipelines, undrawn commitments, etc.)
- SBU Performance and budget monitoring
Customer Focus & Stakeholder Management
- Manage and enhance the levels of service and communication to ensure the provision of client service excellence to (BDMs, SBU Head and SBU in general).
- Client relationship management
- Gathering of feedback and taking corrective action on client queries to ensure satisfaction and retention.
Learning, Leadership & People Growth
- Participate in knowledge sharing in the team and cross functional
- Keep up to date with latest industry developments (conferences and sector forums)
**Qualification and Experience** QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS**
- Minimum qualification: relevant commercial or technical Honours Degree or equivalent qualification.
**KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS**
- 5-8 years related experience in back-office support in a banking environment
- Proficiency in client relationship management and administration.
- Experience in interpretation of financial statements
- Strong administrative skills
- Sector-specific knowledge will be an advantage
- Understanding of the IDC administrative and IT systems (including SAP)
- Knowledge of IDC products
- Experience of finance, marketing, technical and other relevant aspects analysis of debt and equity transactions.
