**The position**

As a Learning & Development Manager you will be responsible to proactively enhance individual, group and organisational capabilities by designing, co-ordinating and implementing best in class learning & development solutions for all Novo Nordisk SA field employees.

You will also manage and lead specified projects and initiatives ensuring that implementation is achieved timeously and within budget, as well develop mechanisms to monitor the effectiveness of Talent & Development activities ensuring that service delivery is consistent and in line with agreed standards. You will participate in and contribute effectively to management meetings & cross functional project groups for Novo Nordisk and manage the development of the Competency framework ensuring alignment with role profiles, performance reviews and development programmes.

Your Main accountabilities will be:

- Ensure timely and relevant training programmes for all field employees and support office-based colleagues as relevant, and quality & co-ordinated On-boarding programme
- Manage L&D resources through the co-ordination of external and internal service providers and the selection of the optimal development approach
- Manage the logistics of L&D programmes, the validation and evaluation of all L&D initiatives for the achievement of behavioural & business objectives and reporting on results as appropriate
- Ensure that the effectiveness of all training initiatives is regularly monitored and measured through the use of agreed measures of ROI and that consideration is given to the costs of planned training programmes and keeping within budget, which is determined annually and reviewed on a quarterly basis
- Facilitate the development of policies and procedures for all teams relating to Training and ensure compliance with Skills Development Act

**Qualifications**

To be efficient in this role you need to have at least 5 years work experience preferably in pharmaceutical industry, at least 3 years of experience in learning & development and previously worked in sales.

You also have a relevant academic degree, preferably Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Healthcare (or equivalent), Formal Training or Coaching Qualification desirable.

To be effective in this role you have:

- Proven successful track record of delivering talent strategy (short/medium/long term) and developing and delivering a training plan at least at national level
- Experience in Talent & Training Management, Performance Management, Succession Planning & Training
- Excellent Facilitation, Presentation & Coaching skills
- Good understanding of Management Development and Learning theory and methodology
- Insight into management and organisational development models
- Effective organisational skills & an ability to prioritise
- A self-starter who pro-actively takes initiative
- Excellent communications skills and the ability to establish credibility and build strong relationships
- Excellent written & communication skills
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
- Valid Driving Licence
