The Sales Training Officer is responsible for supporting the sales department by providing support to assigned regions, managing the training team projects, and ensuring that all members of staff, new and existing, within the sales department are trained to an appropriate level, including training on new and existing products at M-KOPA. The officer will also be responsible for assessing training needs, conducting monthly training with required delivery standards, and evaluating the effectiveness of training.

**Roles and Responsibilities**:

- Develop training programs and materials that support the needs of the sales department, including both new and existing products.
- Support onboarding of new DSRs and monitor their performance.
- Deliver effective and engaging training sessions to sales staff, both in-person and remotely, that improve their knowledge and skills.
- Monitor and assess the performance of sales staff to identify areas for improvement and provide ongoing coaching and support.
- Collaborate with the sales management team to identify areas where additional training or coaching is needed.
- Develop and implement sales training initiatives to support the achievement of sales targets and goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that sales training programs align with overall business objectives.

**Skills Required**:

- ** Strong communication skills**: must be able to communicate effectively with a variety of audiences, including sales teams and managers
- **Sales expertise**: have a deep understanding of the sales process, as well as a strong background in sales or marketing.
- **Training and facilitation skills**: be skilled at designing, delivering, and facilitating training programs that engage and inspire learners.
- **Time management**: manage their own time effectively, as well as the time of the sales team members they are responsible for training.
- **Analytical skills**: be able to analyze sales data and identify trends, as well as assess the effectiveness of training programs.
- **Flexibility and adaptability**:be able to adapt to changes in the sales environment and adjust training programs accordingly.

**Experience Required**:

- Two (2) years' experience in a sales and/or training role

**Education Required**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in any field
