**Deputy Managing Director (M/F/d)**: full time - unlimited

**Your Tasks**:
**Objectives**
JUWI is looking for an individual to work with the Managing Director with various of the line functions in the company comprising 100 employees.

- Accountability for the Quality, ED/BB-BEE, EPC-PM, O&M and Health and Safety Managers
- The interfaces with EPC-PM and O&M are key and involve oversight over single points of contact into the entire construction and operating portfolios.
- Creation of a new ESMS/ESG Reporting function in the company by recruiting an Environmental/ESMS Manager into the company
- General assistance to the MD including development of strategy and on existing cross-cutting topics
- Any extraordinary or cross-cutting initiatives that the MD may launch
- Standing in for the MD when he/she is on leave or unable to attend to duties

The individual will require a minimum time spent in JUWI's Cape Town office each month as well as site visits and international travel being required from time to time.

**Primary Responsibilities**
- Regular interaction with Manager reports - assistance with approvals and problems
- Annual and ad-hoc planning and reporting on line functions
- Target agreement setting and evaluation

Cross-cutting Activities:

- Development of templates and schedules as required
- BBBEE legislation and Strategy
- ISO 14000 and 45000 certifications in the future
- Market research on key local industry trends
- Ongoing competitor and value chain analysis and reporting
- General support for Management and Strategy Meetings

The following positions will report into the role:

- Quality Manager (Line Report)
- ED/BB-BEE Manager (Line and Functional Report)
- Head of EPC-PM (Line Report)
- Health and Safety Manager (Functional Report - MD remains 16.1 Appointee)
- Sit on O&M1 Board as Alternate Director and interface with Head of O&M EMEA
- Environmental/ESMS Manager (to be appointed) (Line and Functional Report)

**Your Profile**:
**Qualifications and Experience**
- Higher Degree (CA / B.Eng / MBA)
- At least 5 years’ experience in a senior management role in the renewable energy or a similar space
- Experience with ESMS/ESG
- Aptitude for management and process is critical
- Experience with BBBEE/SED
- Willingness to work in an interdisciplinary environment
- Ability to work under pressure
- Financial acumen is a strong advantage
- Strong numeracy (ability to work with.xls to produce tables and graphs)
- Strong market research aptitude
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Attention to detail
