Our client, a highly successful provider of real estate services with over two decades of experience, is seeking a Regional Business Development Executive to lead their Gauteng region. Specialising in A-class cleaning, hygiene, parking, and security services, they cater to a broad portfolio of well-established commercial clients.

With a strong national presence, our client is one of the largest property services groups in South Africa, operating across retail, commercial, industrial, and residential sectors. They are committed to maximising business opportunities across these sectors, with a primary focus on facilities, utility, brand, and precinct management for both landlords and tenants. By harnessing cutting-edge technology and making strategic hiring decisions, they have maintained their leadership and strong market position, making them a recognised industry leader.

In this senior role, you will be at the forefront of driving business development efforts while managing a high-performing sales and bid team of four. This position requires an individual with a proven track record of business development and new business acquisition, someone who can roll up their sleeves and lead the charge, ensuring the team grows and thrives under your guidance.

You will be tasked with spearheading business development across Gauteng, identifying fresh revenue streams, and nurturing client relationships that will stand the test of time. Leading your sales and bid team, you'll be expected to keep the ball rolling with a proactive and high-energy approach to business development, ensuring that no opportunity is left untapped. Your role will also include crafting and executing sales strategies that expand the company's footprint in the region while overseeing the entire client acquisition and retention process, ensuring that all clients—new or existing—receive top-notch service. As a key player, you'll be involved in fine-tuning operational processes to make sure everything runs like clockwork, helping streamline activities and drive success. You will also take charge of recruitment, building your team to align with the company's goals and ensuring continued growth.

To be considered for this role, you will require:

  • 7 to 10 years of solid business development experience, preferably within the soft services (Hygiene, Cleaning, Pest Control, Parking and/or Security).
  • A minimum of 5 years' leadership experience, with a proven ability to drive new business and manage high-performing teams.
  • A demonstrated knack for streamlining processes and boosting operational efficiency.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
