Business Developer (Agriculture) required in Centurion. The Business Developer – Agri is a sales-focused role responsible for marketing and selling the organisation’s returnable packaging and technology solutions within the Agriculture sector. The role focuses on securing new business, managing key client relationships, and driving sustainable commercial growth across designated regions (Gauteng, Mpumalanga, Limpopo, and Northwest). The successful candidate will contribute meaningfully to a smarter, more efficient, and technology-enabled agricultural supply chain. Salary: R35 000 – R50 000 per month. Key Responsibilities: Prospect, identify, and secure new customers to achieve annual new-business sales targets. Drive sales strategies for TEAM Agri technology solutions, including Spray, Harvest, Scouting, Asset Management, and Pruning Visibility applications. Identify and close opportunities for returnable packaging in harvesting, storage, and equipment supply. Maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication, query resolution, and issue management. Analyse and interpret customer requirements, submitting accurate specifications to relevant departments for solution design. Research and stay informed of industry trends, technology innovations, and supply chain developments. Collaborate closely with Business Innovation, Key Account Management, and inter-company teams to support implementation and customer success. Liaise regularly with large key customers, ensuring exceptional engagement and service delivery. Track market shifts and competitor activity, preparing reports and assessments to support strategic decision-making. Prepare and present monthly sales reports, including variance analysis and performance insights. Identify opportunities for product enhancements or new product development based on market intelligence. Maintain professional and technical knowl Role Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Information Technology, or a related field. Minimum 5 years’ industry sales experience, including at least 3 years in the agricultural supply chain. Strong technical understanding of: Web and mobile applications Handheld scanners with RFID/barcode functionality BTLE devices Fixed RFID readers/antennas IoT instruments GPS tracking devices Factory/packhouse integration equipment Skills & Competencies: Proven track record of closing deals and exceeding sales targets. Strong proposal writing and reporting skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. Self-motivated, competitive, confident, and persuasive. Excellent presentation and communication abilities. Strong customer orientation and relationship-building capability. Skilled negotiator with the ability to close deals efficiently. Creative mindset with a passion for sales and innovation. Advanced proficiency in MS Office, CRM, and BRM tools.
