About the Role

A Business Development Consultant is responsible for overseeing the implementation of business objectives among their company’s marketing, branding, business development (new and existing) initiatives. Conducting industry research in line with our service offering. Researching target audiences, recording data from campaign results to add to future reports and overseeing a company’s social media channels and branding to ensure brand uniformity.

**Qualifications, Skills and Experience**:

- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or a similar area
- About five years of proven sales experience in business or a related area
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, in order to express technical and nontechnical concepts clearly and concisely
- Technical skills required to create proposals and find solutions to meet client requirements, such as using software programs and machines
- Excellent organizational skills to meet goals and set priorities
- Be proactive, organized and handle work under stressful and uncertain environments

- Strong negotiation and persuasion skills

**Primary Duties and Responsibilities**:
Sales & Marketing
- Attend to leads, preparing quotes and pricing on various services
- Assist in identifying new potential opportunities for business growth.
- Assist in facilitating the sales process between clients and delivery teams for required services.
- Execute sales and marketing initiatives.
- Keep up to date with competitor product and service offerings and industry developments, making recommendations to management where necessary.
- Review New Business Pipeline, follow up and tracking to ensure conversion.
- Strong telephone manner: able to make successful cold calls and sell products telephonically.
- Present and sell company services to current and potential clients.
- Follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity.
- Identify sales prospects and contact these and other accounts as assigned.
- Prepare presentations, proposals and sales letters.
- Develop and maintain sales materials and current product knowledge.
- Establish and maintain current client and potential client relationships.
- Prepare paperwork to activate and maintain contract services.
- Prepare a variety of status reports, including activity, closings, follow-up, and adherence to goals.
- Create and collect data from service assessments to Customers- Communicate new product and service opportunities, special developments, information, or feedback gathered through field activity to appropriate company staff.
- Work with company staff to accomplish the work required to close sales.
- Develop and implement special sales and marketing activities
- Monitor and launch campaigns across platforms making sure that they run according to the best practices.
- Optimize the ongoing campaigns and make sure it’s spending in the most efficient way.
- Coordinate and select the product materials for all marketing materials.
- Control the budget for online campaigns events and for offline events
- Ensure branding is consistent with branding guidelines and the implementation of production quality complies with our standards

Events Management
- Organize external events and exhibition components (Supplier and Expo organizers)
- Coordinate all activities and campaigns such as seminars and roadshows e.g. prize giveaways
- Coordinate with any department for conducting of special events
- Coordinate with all press and newspapers for announcements and advertising.
- Pricing, ordering, and follow up on product branding, catalogues, brochures, corporate gifts, and print advertising
- Support joint marketing initiatives with Customers and Suppliers
- Distribute Company templates to employees
- Pricing, ordering, and following up on company signage
- Order and distribute internal newsletters

Tenders
- Source bidding opportunities in private and public sector
- To keep track of all advertised tenders via subscribed tender publications.
- To arrange for tender documents to be collected, tender briefing attended and finalized tender documents submitted to the specified location before the specified deadline.
- Perform an initial review of the Invitation to Tender documents to establish scope of work, the tender schedule and the composition of the tender team.
- To read, scan and forward tender documents to relevant role-players in the business and convene a tender committee meeting for major tenders’ prior compilation and follow up meeting before submission.
