Job Description

Description

The role involves creating, pricing, and arranging trips to Southern Africa for travelers through international agencies.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate client requirements including interests, needs, and budget
  • Prepare quotes promptly for all requested services
  • Make reservations for all services requested
  • Respond to written inquiries and issue written confirmations
  • Input reservations into Tourplan
  • Confirm services with suppliers
  • Maintain regular communication with agents regarding reservation status, payments, deadlines, and terms
  • Organize Meet and Greets when necessary
  • Stay in touch with tour guides throughout tours
  • Handle client complaints and emergencies
  • Keep in contact with agents
Requirements

Qualifications and Expertise

  • Matric / Grade 12
  • Preferably, a qualification in Travel & Tourism
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in FIT-Tailor Making Tour consulting in the tour operating sector
  • Familiarity with Tourplan is advantageous

Competency

  • Understanding of customer needs and services
  • Negotiation skills with suppliers for availability and rates
  • Sound knowledge of the tourism industry
  • Extensive knowledge of South African geography
  • Proficiency in Touring Logistics
