Executive Placings is seeking a highly skilled Travel Operations Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for handling inbound bookings to Southern Africa for our direct clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Calm and professional interaction with suppliers and travel planners to ensure seamless operations
  • Creative and out-of-the-box planning and designing of itineraries to meet client needs
  • Handling reservation requests and processing bookings from quote to finalization
  • Professional servicing of dynamic direct guests to ensure exceptional customer experience
  • Proactive selling of products and services to ensure the best possible safari experience for clients
  • Backup support for colleagues during absences
  • Continuous learning and expansion of product knowledge through training sessions

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience in inbound tour operating environment
  • Good knowledge of Southern African destinations, including Tanzania, Kenya, Zanzibar, Zambia, South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Namibia, Mozambique, Rwanda, Uganda, and Seychelles
  • Knowledge of FIT and Groups policies and procedures
  • Excellent communication skills and a good command of the English language
  • Experience with Tourplan reservations system is an added advantage

Working Conditions:

  • Saturday duty and cell phone duty on a rotation basis
  • Public holiday duty and cell phone duty on a rotation basis
  • Shift work required, including 07:00-15:30 and 09:30-18:00 on a rotation basis
