Technical Sales Representative - Gauteng

Technical Sales Representative (Drill and Blast)

The opportunity

To market range of IMT Products to existing and prospective customers.IMT being products in the Drill & Blast arena, both Surface and UndergroundTo create customer base for a new area of business for Build relationships with Senior Management and Drill & Blast Management.Assist in the development of new productsProvide technical support to our customersProvide training to our customersTo design and implement drilling fluid programs and overall operationsTo undertake general administrative dutiesQHSE responsibilities

The purpose of this position is to market Group Products and provide Technical Support Services to the Southern Africa Customers.

Southern Africa includes: Angola; Botswana; Lesotho, Madagascar; Mozambique; Namibia, South Africa; Swaziland/Eswatini; Zimbabwe The Successful Applicant

As Technical Sales Representative the candidate would require the following skills, competencies, and behaviours.

Qualifications / Education

National Senior Certificate Grade 12 (Matric)Diploma in Sales and Marketing with technical background5 Years' experience industry related experience in a similar field of workPrior experience using ERP software

Technical Skills / Knowledge / ExperienceUnderstanding areas of operation, industries and drill and blast markets both surface and underground mining.Understanding client needsUnderstanding company products and servicesUnderstanding drilling fluids engineeringAbility to undertake mathematical calculationsComprehension of chemistryMust be fluent in EnglishMust be advance in the Microsoft Office Suite of ProductsZulu, Sotho, Afrikaans will be an added advantage but not a requirement.
