Main purpose / objective of the position:
To manage safety and security at sites.
The incumbent will be responsible for the following sites: Sanlam & Santam Head Office, Glacier Place, Bellville data centre, Sanlam DR site, Tyger Park, external Sanlam group offices on request.
Decision making authority:
Subject to mandate received from client / portfolio management.
Decisions are based on the knowledge of theory and systems. Required to choose from a limited array of routines or rules at his/her disposal. Works within specific prescribed policies and guidelines.
Experience / Education:
A minimum of 5 years experience in Facilities/Operations/Security Management. Minimum qualification Grade 12.
Skills required:
People Management skills, Project Management skills, Quality /standards awareness and implementation, basic contract management, co-ordination skills, Business Writing Skills (including specifications), Financial/Numeracy Skills, Computer Literacy-MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).
Knowledge required:
Knowledge of Company policies and procedures, Administration principles and reporting, working knowledge of statutory requirements, knowledge of cost budgeting and control.
Competencies required:
Customer & quality focus, Methodical, Teamwork and Cooperation, Problem solving & decision making, Financial & Business Acumen, Communication(on higher level);Tolerance for stress, Assertive, Drive and Productivity.
Major drivers of work volume:
Grading and complexity; Rental Levels; Management complexity and intensity, projects, works orders.

Contractors, Landlord / client, Tenants, Energy forums, professional consultants
