To provide operational leadership and tactical direction to the security operations function in the Cape Town Cash Centre construction site.


JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Fulfil the team leadership function pertaining to onthejob training, development and performance of the cash centre security team.
  • Provide input into the cash centre's security governance documents in order to ensure operational compliance.
  • Provide operational supervision to the cash centre security teams in the execution of daytoday security services.
  • Ensure compliance and implementation of policies, procedures and legislative requirements within the function.
  • Plan and implement special security events held for the facility.
  • Analyse and escalate management information to the manager for decisionmaking.
  • Provide the security resources in support of the cash centre's security operations function
  • Manage the FitforDeployment programme for operational security members and ensure compliance to inherent minimum job requirements.
  • Implement cash centre risk and vulnerability assessment recommendations and communicate such to the

Unit Head:
Physical Security Operations.

  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders in mitigating any risks related to the cash centre security operations.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
- a Bachelor degree in Security Management or an equivalent NQF7 qualification;
- six years' operational security experience in a National Key Point facility protection environment;
- four years' experience in operational security management, including security systems, procedures, facilities and personnel;
- knowledge of security management (facilities protection), facility operational security management
- (security systems, procedures and personnel), risk management, and firearm competence; and
- a Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority (PSIRA) Grade B certificate.
