You will be responsible to meet with event hosts prior to functions, make introductions, and ensure that all arrangements are agreeable.

Read and analyse the event order in order to gather guest information, determine proper set up, specific guest needs, buffets, action stations, etc.


Working closely with the events team, you will be responsible for the execution and delivery of all events, maximizing revenue, utilization of meeting space and working to achieve or exceed the defined budgeted revenues for the events department.

The duties are (this is not the complete list and the successful person will be communicated with regarding duties)

  • Understand requirements for each event
  • Plan event with attention to financial and time constraints
  • Book venues and schedule guests
  • Research vendors (catering, decorators, musicians etc.) and choose the best combination of quality and cost
  • Negotiate with vendors to achieve the most favorable terms
  • Hire personnel
  • Manage all event operations (preparing venue, invitations etc.)
  • Do final checks at the day of the event (e.g. tables, technology) to ensure everything meets standards
  • Oversee event happenings and act quickly to resolve problems
  • Evaluate event's success and submit reports
Experience and qualifications required

  • Degree or diploma in hotel / events management or Degree in Business administration.
  • Advanced computer skills
  • Knowledge of Hotel software /Catering software.
  • At least 5 years' proven experience in a similar role
