As a Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the commercial aspects of renewable energy projects, from bidding and negotiation to contract management and risk assessment.

You will work closely with the project managers, engineers, finance, and legal teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects and the satisfaction of their clients.

You will also identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to grow market share and revenue.

Duties:

  • Originate deals for longterm and shortterm power purchase agreements (PPAs) for supply and offtake in South Africa.
  • Manage relationships with local consultants supporting PPA activities.
  • Support internal analyses of commercial offers received as well as the development of commercial offers made to industrial customers and suppliers.
  • Manage internal stakeholder engagements and approvals.
  • Actively seek out renewable supply opportunities and manage procurement thereof.
To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A bachelor's degree in engineering, business, law, or a related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in commercial management, in the renewable energy sector
  • Proven track record of closed Power Purchase Agreements
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Strong analytical, problemsolving, and decisionmaking skills
  • A proactive, flexible, and collaborative approach to work
  • Understanding the project and corporate structure of largescale renewable energy projects

Salary:
Negotiable - Dependant on experience
