UWM 02/23 Specialist Engineering Artisan

Requirements:

  • Trade Test Qualification as an Electrician #
  • Wireman's Licence
  • Completed SANS wiring Electrical installations code
and standards course

  • 5 years' post trade qualification related experience as per
KPA's below within the Facility and Fixed plant

maintenance environment.

  • Knowledge of the Occupational Health & Safety Act
  • Supervisory Experience
  • Computer Literacy
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Must not be colour blind or hearing impaired
  • Must be prepared to work overtime and on standby duty
Key Performance Areas

  • Ensure reliable operation of all Electrical repairs.
  • Ensuring the effective, safe operation and maintenance of
all electrical equipment.

  • Ensuring maintenance activities are clearly communicated
to the client to ensure un-interrupted service and

operations.

  • Communicating work sequences and ensuring that the
team and contractors adhere to the rules and regulations

to maintain safety standards.

  • Conduct an ongoing inspection (fault finding) of control
systems and equipment.

  • Responsible for planning, prioritising, scheduling and
arranging materials and equipment.

  • Coordinates and controls tasks, activities associated with
personnel performance, productivity and discipline.

  • Enforcing compliance regarding Health and Safety
requirements and investigation of incidents.

  • Maintaining applicable safety standards and records within
Technical Services as prescribed by the OHS Act.
