Requirements:

  • National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Up to 2 years relevant experience in projects, tenders,
maintenance support and operational environment

(Mechanical Engineering related).

  • Computer Literacy
  • MS Office Applications & SAP.
  • Code B driver's license.

Special conditions:

  • Must be physically fit to work in the power generation
industrial environment with an ability to work at heights and

in confined spaces.

  • Will be required to perform standby duties after familiarization
with the plant.

Key Performance Areas

  • Meeting with line management and relevant role players
concerned to determine the branch's specific needs to

prioritize upgrade and maintenance activities.

  • Participate in compiling financial reports/ estimates to inform
Capital and Operating Budgetary requirements.

  • Provide input into Capital and Operating expenditure reports
by reporting on the status of various projects through consulting

with line managers and contractors.

  • Investigates breakdowns and conduct fault finding exercises
to determine the extent of the complex generation infrastructure

breakdown.

  • Identifying effected equipment and liaises with production,
electrical and mechanical maintenance team supervisors to

optimize maintenance activities and minimize down time.

  • Interpreting specifications from work orders, plans and drawings.
  • Updating technical drawings.
  • Updating records, entering data of new equipment.
  • Updating and maintaining data for use on future projects.
  • Forwarding technical specifications for equipment and materials,
after approval by the branch/department management,

to Supply Chain Management for tendering.

  • Maintain accurate records and filing of all project documentation.
  • Compile performance, measurement and progress reports
