Requirements:

  • Plumbing Trade Test certificate in accordance with S26D of the
Skills Development Act, Act 97 of Red seal)

  • Artisan: Up to two (2) years' postapprenticeship experience
Senior Artisan: - 5 years' post-apprenticeship experience

  • NQF 3/ Grade 12 will be advantageous
  • Valid Code C driver's license
  • PrDP will be advantageous
  • SAP literacy will be advantageous
  • Knowledge of reticulation networks and plumbing/construction
processes as well as Occupational Health and Safety Act

  • Required to be physically fit and able bodied. Must be able to
lift heavy manhole covers, carry heavy equipment and fit

into confined spaces.

  • Required to work in all weather conditions
  • Required to work standby, outside normal working hours during
emergencies and planned overtime.

  • Must be prepared to enter confined areas.
Key Performance Areas

  • Planned and predictive maintenance to ensure that maintenance
cycles and work procedures are implemented

  • Faultfinding to ensure faults are detected, effectively repaired
and functionality restored with mínimal disruption to services

  • Supervision and administration to ensure that tasks, instructions
and findings are coordinated, communicated and understood

  • Capturing information to ensure details of activities are
accurately recorded
