Minimum Requirements:

Key requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in Finance or HR or a related field (NQF Level 7) coupled with 8 to 10 years of experience in HRIS, Payroll, Leave, and Benefits; or
  • Must have an NQF level 6 qualification in Finance or HR and studying towards an NQF level 7 qualification coupled with at least 12 years of payroll processing management experience.
  • NQF level 8 degree will be advantageous.
  • Advanced knowledge and experience of VIP/SAGE People 300
  • Sound knowledge of MS Word and PowerPoint.
  • Sound knowledge of tax and fringe benefit management.
  • Ability to be proactive and use initiative.
  • Excellent administration and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and extended hours.
  • Must possess good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to work well within a team as well as independently.
  • Must be a SA Citizen.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Key responsibilities:

  • Actively managing monthly Payroll, Leave, Benefits, and HRIS reporting requirements.
  • Ensure that all payroll, leave, and benefits processing is aligned with HSRC policies.
  • Ensure that the HSRC Payrolls (six payroll) adhere to the laws, regulations, and statutes governing the remuneration of employees.
  • Oversee and verifying the processing of thirdparty payments.
  • Adhere to turnaround times and cutoff dates.
  • Ensure that remuneration queries are resolved timely and within the confines of the legal framework.
  • Monitoring employment data on VIP/SAGE.
  • Oversee the design, development, and implementation of a wellfunctioning and effective HRIS for the HSRC.
  • Ensure data integrity of captured information and ensure that verification processes are in place.
  • Drive HRIS and Payroll system innovations towards better service delivery.
  • Manage risk within HRIS, Payroll, Leave, and Benefits Administration;
  • Manage all HR payroll audit matters and ensure compliance with policies and procedures as well as all statutes and National Treasury regulations.
  • Ensure that conditions of employment and practices comply with salary administration directives.
  • Ensure continuous service delivery to all business units in pursuit of HR payroll, leave, and benefits management objectives.
  • Engage with management in terms of HRIS, Payroll, Leave, and Benefits queries.
  • Build strong networking relations with business partners.
  • Manage the HRIS, Payroll, Leave, and Benefits Administration teams.
  • Mentor and coach junior and fellow colleagues reporting to the Manager.
  • Perform monthly payrollrelated verifications.
  • Ensure that General Ledger postings are up to dateand accurate.
  • Monitors and management of leave provisions and all leaverelated matters.
