Responsibilities:

  • For the central South Africa region in which they operate, and all customers assigned to them.
  • Secure new business for the company in accordance with the national sales strategy by product.
  • Be able to understand and interpret potential clients' agreed services and cost requirements.
  • Be proficient in being able to translate potential clients' requirements into concise, well written and motivating proposals.
  • Engage and build customer relationships at all levels of the business as well as within the company.
  • Be comfortable in conducting formal presentations to small and large groups of decision makers within target customers.
  • Provide meaningful input into the budgeting and forecasting process.
  • To project the desired image of the company and all divisions to the marketplace to create perceptions of a highly professional company.
  • Provide accurate, prompt information for the monthly EXCO pack on the results and performance of the region.
  • Develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and meeting customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs.
  • Arrange meetings with prospective clients.
  • Prepare sales contracts adhering to lawestablished rule and guidelines.
  • Timeously submitting of weekly planning reports for week ahead and analysis of past week sales.
  • Daily customer visit targets need to be achieved as per the agreement including new customer calls.
  • Ensuring that debtors are paying the company on time is critical. A sale is only completed once the money is in the bank.
  • It is a requirement of staff to identify their own personal training and product knowledge requirements. Assistance and proposals to then be put forward.
  • Monitor and analyse customer usage of our products.
  • Identify new markets and conversion opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain a market intelligence system to ensure detailed knowledge of competitors and product trends.
  • Provide price and product information to customers and potential customers.
  • Discuss price requests which fall outside formal pricing with management.
  • Negotiate product specification.
  • Manage customer queries and complaints.
  • Ensure that the company meets Delivery due dates.
  • Maintain stock levels in accordance with current and future market trends.
  • Monitor orders against delivery plan and ensure that delivery dates are met.
  • Monthly Sales Reports
  • Monitor Sales against Budget
  • New product development
  • Sign off customer deals, credit notes.

Job Requirements:

  • Completion of the requirements for a
    bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or Sales and marketing is preferred but not essential

  • At least five years of experience in a similar position

Experience in the Plastic Industry is an advantage
:

  • Proven sales record.
  • Valid Driver's licence
  • Computer Literacy: MS Office, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, and CRM software.
  • Ability to work independently.

R30, R40,000.00 per month
