We are looking for an HR Consultant to support our Human Resources department. You will act as the first point of contact for HR-related queries from employees and external partners.


You will be responsible for providing an effective and efficient human resource generalist function, with a strong focus on administrative duties.

You will have experience with HR procedures and can juggle various administrative tasks in a timely manner.


While the role allows for remote working, you will be required to have occasional in-person team meetings and attend company events.


Main Responsibilities:

  • Respond to internal and external HR related enquiries or requests.
  • Manage the onboarding and offboarding processes for employees.
  • Collaborate with external vendors such as IT service provider, medical aid brokers, legislative reporting bodies, training and other providers.
  • Assist with payroll input and provide assistance to the Finance team during audits.
  • Take responsibility for various administrative duties such as maintaining employee records, staff lists, compiling monthly HR reports, long service awards, newsletter input and other ad hoc duties.
  • Prepare employment equity and skills development reports for the HR Manager.
  • Schedule and coordinate the BEE audit, including populating the BEE spreadsheet and preparing the audit file, collaborating with the various stakeholders, and answering queries.
  • Facilitate the implementation of internships and learnerships, ensuring all required supporting documents are gathered for auditing purposes.
  • Coordinate the implementation of bursaries for disabled students.
  • Take responsibility for Health and Safety in the company

Qualifications and Experience required:

  • Human Resources qualification preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in an HR Generalist role essential.
  • Registration with the SABPP advantageous.
  • Advanced computer literacy skills (MS Office).
  • SAGE 300 People advantageous.
