Job Function

  • The purpose of this role is to manage processes, teams and resources to grow the business through the successful selling of services and/or products that fit client/customer needs. Own and manage customer relationships, contribute to operational effectiveness, customer satisfaction, reduced risk, profitability and compliance to relevant policies and regulatory requirements.
    Role Profile
  • Develop, own and execute a sales plan that supports the overall business strategy and objectives.
  • Generate new leads, opportunities, and new business revenue through market research, identifying new customers and new markets.
  • Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs
  • Promote the company's products/services addressing or predicting clients' objectives including new products which may be introduced from timetotime.
  • In collaboration with the CS Team, own and manage the customer onboarding process.
  • Manage the contract renewal process, and make sure all contracts are uptodate, and the billing structure is in accordance to signed contracts.
  • Build longterm relationships with new and existing customers and monitor client/customer performance against forecasts & plans.
  • Hire, manage and drive the personal & professional development of Sales Team
    Inherent Requirements

Qualifications required:

  • Matric/Grade 1
  • Diploma/Degree

Skills and experience required:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in selling solutions, software and services
  • Solid experience and a deep understanding of logistics, ecommerce, retail, fashion and technology sectors
  • HaveM
  • A proven track record in building sales departments and an ability close on deals
  • High level of written, verbal and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong working relationships with business partners and key stakeholders and the ability to work under pressure in a cross functional organization.
  • Ability to communicate and articulate issues clearly

Technical Competencies:

  • MS Office, Google Suite,
  • Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
  • You may need to lift and move products that weigh up to 30kg

Behavourial:

  • Effective stakeholder engagement the Sales Manager will be required to deal with stakeholders at all levels of an organisation right up to the senior executives

  • The ability to understand and analyse problems and find solutions


Problem solving
  • The ability to think creatively and work collaboratively with teams to solve business challenges
  • Good listener & communicator requirement gathering is a key part of the role so the ability to ask the right questions and correctly understand the information received is essential
  • Confident presenter the ability to present findings and recommendations to senior leaders and to manage stakeholder meetings
