Purpose of the Role
-
The core purpose of the role of the Orders Clerk is to efficiently and accurately process orders to fulfill client requirements. _

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

GENERAL SKILLS

  • Have a hardworking and cando attitude.

ORDER CLERK FUNCTION

  • Receive and review customer orders, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Monitor inventory levels, track stock movements, and report discrepancies.
  • Accurately input order details into our system, maintaining high data integrity.
  • Coordinate with Dc and transporter to ensure timely order fulfillment.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and provide order status updates professionally.
  • Perform quality checks on orders before shipping to ensure they meet customer specifications.
  • Maintain organized records of orders, invoice documents.
  • Address and resolve orderrelated issues and discrepancies promptly.

- Adherence to Procedures and ensure compliance with company policies.

OTHER

  • Assisting in other departments based on operational needs.
  • Housekeeping in and around the DC.
  • Cycle counting and correcting stock levels.
  • Factory shop replenishment.
  • Returns replenishment.
  • Destruction stock pulling.
  • Adhere to Health & Safety Guidelines

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

  • Matric certificate
  • Previous experience working a Distribution Centre.
  • Previous experience in processing orders or a similar role would be beneficial.
  • Proficiency in data capturing
  • Working knowledge on MS Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Available to work shifts and over time as required.
  • Must be a team player, an active learner and problemsolver.
  • Must have reliable transport.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
