We are looking for a motivated and entrepreneurial Face to Face Sales Advisor to join our personal lines team

This is a direct sales role (face-to-face), where the incumbent will be required to source their own new business leads to sell combined (comprehensive) short-term insurance for
car, home, and contents cover.


The Business Development Consultant will be required to generate leads and convert them into sales.

In this role the BDC is responsible for providing excellent customer service and advice, as well as developing relationships with customers.


Responsibilities and work outputs for Business Development Consultants (PERSONAL LINES):

  • Source lead-generating opportunities to ensure a minimum of 10 client quotes per week and 40 per month
  • Minimum requirement of 10 premium adjusted policies (net of claw backs) written policies per month
  • Maintain and update your Lead Generation Matrix on a weekly basis
  • Manage the lead generation process which includes group presentations, one on one consultations, ensuring regular communication with staff, participation in corporate events, advertising, and general relationship building
  • Keep uptodate and fully informed on product comparisons with opposing products
  • Sign up a minimum of 5 active lead referral agents
  • Generate interest for and introduce other Momentum Insure specialists to prospects where appropriate
  • Meet all KPls as laid down by Momentum Insure for BDCs
  • Complete weekly reports that reflect leads, quotes, and sales as well as the source of the leads, average premium, total premium and any other pertinent information which may be required from time to time
  • Maintain appropriate skills and knowledge in order to provide specialist, professional advice in all relevant business areas
  • Meet the Fit and proper requirements as set out in the FAIS codes of conduct at all times
  • Meet continuing professional development objectives as required by the industry

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Matric/Grade 1
  • FAIS Credits (min 30 credits in shortterm insurance if the date of the first appointment is before 2010); or if the date of the first appointment is on or after 01/01/2010, a fully recognized qualification as per the FSCA qualification list

  • FAIS Regulatory examination for Representatives not applicable for applicants with no STI sales experience
  • 18 CPD points if registered for two Classes of Business (Personal plus Commercial)
12 CPD (continuous professional development) points If you are registered for one Class of Business (Personal or Commercial)

EXPERIENCE

  • Proven experience in FACE-TOFACE SALES experience
years' DIRECT SALES EXPERIENCE selling short-term insurance either as a Broker Agent or Tied Agent.

Alternatively, must have SOLID DIRECT SALES EXPERIENCE.

  • A minimum of 2 years experience GENERATING LEADS and CONVERTING THEM INTO SALES (prospecting / cold calling) managing the lead generation process
  • Ability to work under pressure and MEET TARGETS

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • This role is both in the office & on the road and the successful applicants must be prepared & willing to travel to client sites for meetings, will be required to be in the office daily for the first 6 months.

RENUMERATION
Remuneration on offer is a fixed basic salary of
R no sliding scale & no retainer), plus uncapped commission, including eligibility to earn annual incentives, and a quarterly consistency bonus.

Please note that after 6 months there is an opportunity to move up to an Executive Business Development Consultant level where the basic salary will increase to R20 000 per month.

At the Executive Business Development Consultant level, successful incumbents will also have an opportunity to earn retention commission for business sold over time, for up to 6 years.


COMMISSION
All commissions and incentives are calculated on API written premium for the month.

Retention commission:
Earned on policies renewed between months for up to 6 years capped at % of the total commission.

TRAINING:
We provide 1-month Systems and Product training, including induction.

TOOLS OF TRADE:
Company laptop, 3G card for internet connection, Softphone on laptop, and cellphone allowance.
