Introduction

Role Purpose


Investigate, collate and verify all death claims on behalf of the fund together with providing client education on fund and administration related issues.


Requirements:

  • Matric
  • Certificate of Proficiency on Retirement Funds or equivalent qualification (preferred)
  • Bilingual (English and one other official SA language)
  • 35 Years' experience in the retirement fund industry

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Collate all relevant documentation accurately and timeously from the relevant stakeholders
  • Investigate and verify information provided by claimants ensuring correctness and compliance to legislative requirements
  • Engage with the relevant internal departments regarding the requirements for death claims to ensure that the claim is processed timeously
  • Prepare a report on demise cases for presentation to Trustees at the Disposal of Death Benefit Committee on a monthly basis
  • Prepare death claims statistics for areas
  • Provide relevant information to members and clients of the fund in preparation for various types of exits
  • Keep abreast of legislative amendments and changes in the retirement industry as set out by the Financial Services Board (FSB)
  • Conduct member education sessions in order to create awareness of the various features and processes associated with the fund
  • Identify recurring or frequent client questions and find and present solutions at relevant meetings and sessions
  • Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders to ensure client retention and satisfaction
  • Deliver on service level agreements made with internal and external stakeholders in order to ensure that expectations are managed with client
  • Make recommendations to improve client service and fair treatment of clients within area of responsibility
  • Participate and contribute to a culture which builds rewarding relationships, facilitates feedback and provides exceptional client service
  • Provide regular reports on the delivery of services against agreed timelines and overall customer targets
