  • Providing day to day human resources administrative support
  • Contributing to the long term development of the human resources function
  • Providing human resource administration and clerical support to the business as part of a back office function, including all recruitment administration support for A and B Band appointments
  • Ensuring reference and criminal record checks are carried out fully and in a timely manner
  • Announcing new appointments
  • Managing the new joiner process from offer letter through to joining instructions and induction
  • Providing human resources support and advice to employees and line managers, explaining policies and procedures in a timely and effective manner
  • Handling maternity, paternity, adoption and parental leave processes and queries
  • Handling health, safety and IOD processes and queries
  • Administering the performance management system
  • Entering data into the HR system so that accurate records are maintained
  • Providing data for and preparing management information reports
  • Liaising with payroll and distributing payslips
  • Processing medical aid / fund entries and withdrawals
  • Processing death and disability claim documents
  • Capturing disciplinary records into SAP
  • Administering the recording of absence and vacation leave
  • Administering the probationary review periods
  • Maintaining the personnel filing system and safeguarding the files and documentation
  • Managing the leave administration process
  • Providing support in investigations for disciplinary and grievance procedures

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Diploma or Degree in Human Resources Management
  • At least 2 years experience in a similar environment
  • Valid Code EB driver's license
  • Knowledge of HR principles and practices, employment and labour legislation, health and safety policies and procedures, etc.
