Job description:
The mission of this role is to design and execute experiments of concepts for innovation teams.

Educational experience:

  • Grade 12/Matric
  • Graduate (degree relating to research)

years' experience (and portfolio of evidence) in quantitative and qualitative research, including experimentation design, execution, and analysis (The Scientific Method or similar is imperative).


Experience, Knowledge and Skills required:

  • Researcher with at least 5 years' experience in both quantitative and qualitative research.
  • Proven experience in designing and executing research including using tools such as SurveyMonkey, QuestionPro, etc.
  • Understanding of corporate challenges, such as facilitating teams doing this work in addition to their dayjob.
  • Mastery of The Scientific method of research execution.
  • Well organised with the ability to handle multiple research projects, focussed on different concepts simultaneously.

Key responsibilities:

Assess and understand the concepts' testing requirements:

  • Discovery: Ensure a clear understanding of what the teams want to achieve with each experiment.
  • Research Program Design: Select the most appropriate experiments (research option) for each hypothesis, depending on the concept maturity and budget.

Design the experiments:

  • Design and run the experiments (with or without research partners).

Deliver interpreted results:

  • Provide the team with the result of the research, at the hand of the experiment success metrics (in collaboration with the data analyst).

Manage research partnerships:

  • Identify, contract & manage research partnerships, within budget.

Experimentation database:

  • Create a single repository of research results for the company.
