Join Our Client's Dynamic Team as a Commercial Underwriter

Are you a meticulous thinker with a passion for analyzing risks and crafting tailored insurance solutions? We are seeking a talented Commercial Underwriter to join our client's vibrant team and make a difference in the insurance industry

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and underwrite commercial insurance applications with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Analyze risk factors and determine appropriate coverage and pricing for policies.
  • Collaborate with brokers and clients to understand their insurance needs and provide expert advice.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, regulations, and market conditions.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers and clients to enhance business partnerships.
  • Conduct regular reviews and assessments of existing policies to ensure they meet client requirements and company standards.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by promptly addressing inquiries and resolving issues.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Commercial Underwriter in the insurance industry.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in insurance underwriting software and MS Office Suite.
  • Risk Management/Business/Accounting/Finance Honors Degree from a recognised Tertiary Institution
  • A completed RE5 qualification
  • Proven track record 1-2 years of work experience in the insurance industry is an advantage
  • Any business, legal, or insurance industry certificates
